Andrew
Andrewtrung grew up in Orange County, California as a son of Vietnamese immigrant parents. From a young age, he was passionate about helping people in his community and would often participate in community service events organized by his scouting troop and high school clubs to assist those in need.
Andrewtrung is studying Psychobiology at UCLA and is currently on the pre-med track. He is still exploring specialty options and is passionate about providing service and care to underrepresented communities. At UCLA, Andrewtrung is part of Vietnamese Community Health and Project Literacy, both of which reflect his interests inside and outside of medicine, namely providing medical support to underprivileged communities in Orange County and developing literacy in underprivileged students. Andrewtrung is also volunteering with Westwood Health to provide support for hospital patients. Finally, he serves as the Outreach Director for the UCLA Film & Photography Society, having a keen interest in cinema and filmmaking.
Andrewtrung joined the Level Up Team as a Direct Support Professional in Spring of 2023. His goal is to inspire and be inspired by the neurodivergent individuals he meets. He’s excited to support them towards a better quality of life by teaching them life skills. He’s even more excited to spend time with them because he loves meeting new people. Outside of work and school, Andrewtrung enjoys watching movies and TV shows, eating, traveling, exploring, and spending time with his friends.
