Arpita

Arpita grew up in Bakersfield, CA, where she developed a passion for helping others. She volunteered at various hospitals, her local temple, and participated in the annual NAMI Walk (National Alliance on Mental Illness), fostering her commitment to community service.

Currently in her fourth year at UCLA, Arpita is majoring in Psychobiology with a minor in Public Health. Over the years, she has deepened her understanding of the diverse factors affecting societal well-being and their psychological impact on individuals.

Arpita is actively involved in multiple campus organizations, including UCLA's premier Bollywood fusion dance team, Nashaa, the Community Health Collective (CHC), Reproductive Education and Community Health (REACH), and serves as a Peer Learning Facilitator for student-athletes transitioning to college. She aspires to pursue a career in the medical field, with a focus on working with children and adolescents.

In the fall of 2024, Arpita joined Level Up as a Direct Support Professional. She is eager to apply her skills to support participants in achieving greater independence and looks forward to witnessing their growth. In her free time, Arpita enjoys listening to music, dancing, and exploring new coffee shops.
