Gabby grew up in Chicago, where she developed a love for playing sports, building connections with others, and, of course, rooting for the Chicago Bears. In high school, she became involved with Special Olympics and Best Buddies. These experiences showed her the importance of creating communities centered on inclusion, belonging, and empowerment. When she came to college, she knew she wanted to continue finding communities that reflected those same values.

Now a senior at UCLA majoring in Psychobiology, Gabby plans to attend medical school and pursue a career in sports medicine. At UCLA, she is part of the UCLA Sports Medicine Internship, where she supports injury-prevention and rehabilitation efforts for the women’s soccer and softball teams while advocating for female athletes. She also continued her involvement with Special Olympics, helping athletes build confidence, develop meaningful relationships, and participate in an inclusive community. As an Educational Coach for the Pathway Program at UCLA Extension, she supported neurodivergent students as they worked toward their academic goals. These experiences strengthened her commitment to advocating for neurodiverse individuals and supporting them in ways that recognize their strengths, independence, and individuality.

In her free time, Gabby enjoys training for marathons, playing pickleball, and spending time with her family, friends, and dog.

Gabby is excited to work as a Direct Support Professional and continue supporting neurodivergent adults in a community centered on inclusion and empowerment. She looks forward to building meaningful relationships with participants and helping them develop greater independence, confidence, and self-advocacy. She is also excited to support participants in areas such as fitness, cooking, and other daily living skills in which she has experience. Above all, she is committed to helping each participant recognize their potential and feel supported and empowered as they pursue their individual goals.
