Jackie
Jackie was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley in Van Nuys, California. As a first-generation Latina and the daughter of a hardworking single mother, Jackie was raised with strong values of perseverance, empathy, and community. Known for her energetic and outgoing personality, she has always been passionate about building connections, spreading positivity, and helping others. She regularly volunteered at Valley Presbyterian Hospital and helped out at local homeless shelters, experiences that deepened her commitment to service and giving back to her community.
Throughout her life, Jackie faced challenges with focus and time management, which she later learned were related to undiagnosed ADHD. These difficulties never held her back. Instead, they taught her resilience and creative problem-solving. College proved to be a particularly difficult period for Jackie, and it was during this time that she made the decision to try therapy, a step that would change her life and deepen her self-understanding. There she gained the tools to support her mental health and thrive. This personal growth shifted her career path from aspiring medical doctor to pursuing a career as a clinical psychologist.
Now a fourth-year Psychology major at UCLA with a minor in Global Health, Jackie is deeply passionate about mental health awareness, especially in underrepresented communities where mental health is often stigmatized. She hopes to advocate for more open conversations and accessible care for those who have historically been underserved.
In 2025, Jackie joined Level Up Solutions as a Direct Support Professional. She is excited to help individuals develop independence and life skills while working alongside a dedicated team that shares her vision of inclusion, growth, and empowerment. In her free time, Jackie enjoys watching the latest movies, going to the gym, attending concerts, riding her bike along the beach, and vlogging her daily life.
