Leah

Leah grew up in Denver, Colorado, where she has always loved exploring the outdoors and staying active. She grew up alongside her mother and grandparents, all clinical psychologists, which sparked her passion for helping others. Growing up in this environment fostered a strong sense of empathy, particularly toward more vulnerable and under-supported communities.

Now a third-year UCLA student majoring in Psychology with a minor in Disability Studies, Leah has extensive experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She has taken on leadership roles in programs like Special Olympics and is currently an Education Mentor for the Pathway program, supporting students as they navigate college life and academics. She is also one of the founding organizers of the Bruin Inclusion Walk, an annual UCLA event created to promote inclusion through athletics and community engagement. Leah hopes to combine her studies in Psychology and Disability Studies to better understand the intersection of mental health and disability and to address the gaps in care available to the IDD community.

In 2025, Leah joined Level Up as a Direct Support Professional. She is excited to contribute her experience and passion to helping participants thrive in their daily lives and is especially looking forward to building meaningful connections and getting to know each participant. In her free time, Leah enjoys hiking, skiing, watching movies, and finding new foods to try.
