Sandra was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She is the oldest of three and was born to Mexican immigrant parents. Since the age of 3, she has traveled every year to the cities her parents grew up in. She understands the hardships and difficulties her parents had to go through to give her siblings and herself a better opportunity. She also had the opportunity to see the many different cultural traditions and the beauty behind them all. This led to her passion for wanting to learn more about different cultures and her dreams to travel to different parts of the world.

Sandra attended the University of California, Davis where she got her Bachelor of Science in Human Development and a Minor in Education. She was the first person in her extended family to graduate college in 2020. During college, she participated in various internships at hospitals and schools where she became even more passionate about helping others. Taking different developmental and education courses about inclusion, opened her interest in understanding and supporting neurodiverse individuals.

Sandra joined the Level Up Solutions team as a Direct Support Professional in 2022. In her free time, Sandra enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and doing her nails, or you can possibly find her at one or both of the Disney parks visiting Mickey and his friends. She is excited to work with and support her participants with their life skills.
