Yasha was born in Atlanta, GA, but spent most of his life in New Orleans, LA. His interest in medicine, particularly in supporting individuals with neurological challenges, began at an early age and was inspired by his father, a medical geneticist who cares for this population. Over time, Yasha’s curiosity grew into a deep passion for helping others—the core of his interest in medicine.

After graduating from Haynes Academy for Advanced Studies, Yasha enrolled at UCLA, where he is currently a third-year student majoring in Physiological Sciences. He is particularly interested in how the body’s systems interact with neurology. At UCLA, he volunteers with Patient Transport at Ronald Reagan Medical Center, serves as Vice President of UCLA Club Triathlon, and gains clinical experience through research on medical marijuana at the Cooper Lab.

In 2025, Yasha joined Level Up Solutions as a Direct Support Professional. He is excited to make a positive impact in the lives of neurodiverse individuals while gaining valuable hands-on experience in caregiving.

Outside of work and academics, Yasha enjoys running, swimming, and cycling with his triathlon team, as well as taking on challenging backpacking and mountaineering adventures. When at home, he likes to draw maps and spend time with his family and dogs. Yasha looks forward to growing both personally and professionally alongside his colleagues and the participants he supports.
